CARE INSTRUCTIONS
FIRST TIME USE
1. When you first get a wooden block made, or purchase one, it’s important to soak it in oil for a week
2. Use gingelly/ mustard oil / any cooking oil
3. Place the carved side of the block in a plate/ tray with oil
4. If the block has already been oiled, or after a week of soaking in oil, gently rub off the excess oil with a piece of old cloth
5. Wash the surface of the block with soap water and dab it with a cloth
6.Place the block face down on a piece of fabric, to ensure the excess moisture is drained
CARING FOR BLOCKS WHILE IN USE
1. After each use, wash the block in water and with the help of a brush, gently brush off the excess pigment from in between the crevices
2. Lay the blocks on a fabric, with blocks facing downwards so that the fabric absorbs all the moisture from the block, leaving them dry
3. After 1 day, after they have dried properly, you can arrange the block back in a box or in a dry place
